Summary:

Reporting directly into the Head of Enterprise Risk Oversight, you will be responsible for the continued development and oversight of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Ownership for oversight of HR and Operational Risk by coaching colleagues within the business through helping to develop a risk intelligent culture at all levels, by creating strong leadership, involvement, learning, accountability and communication.

Role:

You will be the lead on gathering relevant risk information to channel to the Board of Directors along with having an eye for detail and be keen to develop, verify and control what is working effectively.
Will also have the ability to challenge constructively in the best interest of the business.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has worked in a Financial Services / Banking / Retail Credit environment previously or had experience of working in the context of a large operating model.

Skills / Experience:

Operating in a similar role and have an in-depth understanding of corporate governance and risk management frameworks. Rigorous attention to detail is key coupled with having the ability to produce accurate auditable risk documentation.
Previous experience in Process Management, Data Management, Customer Experience who has experience of managing key aspects of a Risk Function or similar environment.
Good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance.
Experience of formulating, driving and implementing risk strategy, including conduct, financial crime, technology, change and risk cultural practices in related or similar regulated financial business environments.
Ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, along with good communication (written and oral), leadership, negotiation and influencing skills, particularly at a senior management level/Director level.
Strong commercial understanding and business acumen, with the ability to challenge strategic decisions.
Effective presentation skills including facilitation of workshops, hosting of interactive meetings.
PC Literacy to include middle management level MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point
Good understanding of risk and risk governance frameworks.
