An organisation specialising in marketing technology is looking for a Database Engineer to develop and maintain the database back end for our products. In this role you’ll work as part of a cross functional agile team, developing and maintaining the database backend for our suite of products.

You will work with our cross functional agile teams, which comprise Software Engineers, QA engineers, a Tech lead, and a Product Owner. As the role requires you will also interact with the Infrastructure Team, the Data and Decision Science team, the Delivery Manager, and other parts of the business.

The role requires experience in the following
• Database performance analysis and optimization
• Relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
• NoSQL Databases, and DynamoDB specifically

Desired Technical Skills and Experience:
• Database design
• Experience in building scalable, resilient enterprise web applications
• Experience within high availability, high scale environments
• Practical experience of unit/integration testing using TDD
• Working in and managing Agile teams
• Message based systems (JMS, RabbitMQ)
• Virtualization / container (Docker) environments
• Maven/Gradle/Go/Jenkins
