IT Manager

My client are currently seeking an experienced IT Manager to support and delivery further infrastructure services and IT support to their growing business

Reporting to and working alongside their Operations Manager you will be responsible for day to day ownership of IT systems and services across the business and their remote sites. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team to perform tasks across IT ranging from helpdesk, basic upgrades and some database level operations, through security and long-term project work. The right candidate can expect to develop through day-to-day tasks, ranging from technical aspects such as core switching management, reporting and virtualisation, through business elements such as Business Analysis of processes within the organisation or ownership of small IT projects.

Role Responsibilities
• To take responsibility for second line IT support across all technical systems;
• To assist the Operations management of a small IT department;
• To effectively prioritise workloads and tickets as they arise;
• To prioritise infrastructure tasks at a high level, maintaining service standards whilst improving the infrastructure.
• To own daily tasks such as checking backups, reporting, uptime logs, etc;
• To ensure that all Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to; and
• To assist in driving business development and efficiency through effective use of IT.

Personal Attributes

• At least 18 months experience in an IT Management role (or equivalent);
• Working knowledge of managing Microsoft based environments;
• Exposure to working with, updating and managing Databases;
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential;
• Excellent attention to detail with great prioritisation skills;
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure;
• Strong ability to self-direct learning and identify solutions to issues;
• A strong team player who can work on own initiative with a can-do attitude with effective time management;
• A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work.
