SQL DBA - Release Engineer required for leading technology eservices company within a newly established team to provide fully automated build and deployment routines for development, non-production, and production environments

Reporting to the Database Administration Manager, the SQL Server DBA will work as part of a team of highly skilled database administrators/engineers within the DBA Release Support team to provide release support for our expanding development teams.
This support team is largely focused on managing a DB release up to live including performance analysis, assisting with development requests/queries, script reviews and suggesting improvements and monitoring a very large test estate on our private cloud.

The automation involved in this role is largely around private cloud, so existing knowledge of Hyper-V (essential) and Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) is an advantage. A strong understanding of SSDT and how to use DACPACs to compare schemas is appropriate for this role and a good understanding of T-SQL performance tuning techniques is an advantage, but not essential. Existing experience of using Octopus Deploy is also an advantage, but not essential.
