The portfolio manager will be in overall, end-to-end, charge of the IT program, from shaping the approach to get the desired outcomes through to delivery. The position includes coordinating projects and resource management within the program, stakeholder and sponsor communications, reporting and engagement.

The role will be responsible for Deliver Projects and Change to the highest standard by effective IT resourcing, timing, planning capacity managed(in Projects). The main responsibility to this role is to manage IT resources and ensuring there is effective capacity for the business/projects. The initial focus of this group will be to ensure the right resources are available at the right time to deliver projects to the business and identify key gaps.

You will further be responsible for supporting the delivery and resourcing of the allocated change pipeline and analysis work that is required to ensure effective delivery against an agreed programme and timeline. Key responsibility to ensure robust and accurate plans are developed from a timeline, resource and cost perspective to deliver against the agreed objectives and project scope to a successful implementation, ensuring understanding of business change needs and assessing the impact and risk of those changes as well as providing effective communication channels.

Working hand in hand with business sponsors, programme, business analysts and key stakeholders/work streams leads, process owners & developers internally and externally on multiple initiatives concurrently on various scale projects and larger scale change initiatives and programmes.

The role holder will ensure processes and working practices are carried out in line with agreed project and change business policies and procedures and operating frameworks. They will provide excellent customer service delivery, identify areas of opportunity to ensure best practices are in place and work stream leads are working to an agreed standard and capability to enable the business meets strategic and operational objectives from a Commercial and Operational perspective
The role involves providing direction, governance and oversight to all key stakeholders and project work streams leads and support functions which may involve some travel to India, third party locations and to other UK Operations sites.

Experience and skills required;

• (Experience in Applications, Databases, Networks, Infrastructure design and development), and business/industry experience is essential.
• Experience of diverse (PM, Program Management of multiple projects, BA…) roles and increasing leadership responsibilities across major(£1M ) complex projects and programs is essential.
• Equivalent to 5 years or more substantial consulting leadership experience (working at 3 clients) is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in managing "upward" among senior leadership in at least 3 different companies reporting to executive level is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams across on and offshore including line and performance management is essential.
• Experience manging project/program budgets is essential.
• IT PM experience working on migration, Integration, Major Systems upgrade projects is essential.
• Experience in complex, multi-site delivery projects is essential.
