Site Validation Engineer

€350-400 per day

Our client is seeking to improve its service end-to-end delivery experience by becoming even more customer-centric. They are working to develop and discover “best-practice” in all aspects of their service model to create the best customer experience.
This specific initiative is looking to minimise the time needed for site validation after installation and commissioning e.g. by minimising or cancelling the need for multiple site visits. This is especially important for Application Service Providers (ASPs).
This role seeks to minimise the time and competence needed, by vendor staff, operators or ASPs to perform the site validation through methods, tools or product changes.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Analyse the practice of site validation in Network Rollout (NRO) /Service Field Operations (SFO) services.
• Find and capture best practices (logistics, procedures, tools).
• Compare vendor practice with operator and/or ASP methods.
• Conduct operator visits, on site and remotely, to capture current practice.
• Compare vendor practice with competitors e.g. Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia.
• Propose best practice in Site Validation through written proposals and Powerpoint presentations.
• Present proposals internally and to the clients, in their HQ and by phone/video meetings.
• Validate proposed practices and improvements through field trials.

Required Experience and Education:
• Diploma or Higher Certificate (NFQ level 6 or above) in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in installation and commissioning of (e.g.) Ericsson, Huawe, Nokia, Base Station equipment, Multi-Standard including eUTRAN.
• Team Leadership of Installation and Commissioning Teams.
• Quality assurance and improvement experience.
• Extensive experience with vendor (recent) Base Station systems e.g. Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, eUTRAN.
• Experience working with vendor led projects.
• Experience with independent Application Service Providers (ASP) or Operators.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely (technical reports) in English.
• Ability to create and present Powerpoint presentations (technical content).
• Be able to demonstrate an interest and experience in procedures and methods, creation and improvement.
• Experience in scripting (e.g. Python) would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with “Design Thinking” is an advantage.
• EU citizenship an advantage.
