IP Backbone Engineer - Cloud Telco (DevOps - Training Provided)

Locations Either - Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb or Bucharest 

The Opportunity

We are looking for “IP Engineers” with strong knowledge of IP telecom services and feature side, you'll work alongside multiple business groups within an agile environment. The “IP DevOp Engineer” will be supporting the evolution of a cutting edge cloud platform, custom built, from scratch. You will be responsible for DevOps of backbone network infrastructure covering multiple countries (IP Layer) & ensuring infrastructure availability with all its attributes. Introducing features and services to the network and automating this process.

The Candidate

Education: Bachelor / Master Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems or related field
Language Skills: English - Advanced Knowledge of other EU working languages would be an asset

Hard Skills:

Carrier IP network design, in particular IPv6, BGP, ISIS/OSPF, QoS, multicast,
Knowledge of network hardware, routing, switching, network security and telecommunication circuits
Practical experience with carrier grade routing hardware and software from major vendors, in particular Juniper, Cisco or Huawei.
Experience in scripting (e.g. Python) or automation frameworks (e.g. Ansible) CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification preferred MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project) – advanced

Detailed Job Description

Responsible for planning, implementation, development and testing of HW/ SW components for the distribution network (IP network based on P/PE routers that interconnects datacentres with external networks)
Responsible for communication with 3rd parties/vendors during tendering process (RFI/RFQ) or during definition of requirements on IP network design.
Monitoring/tracking performance of systems, dimensioning, and capacity planning rg. future demands
Develop solutions to automate configuration and monitoring of IP routers and switches
Responsible for integration of new technologies (HW/ SW), definition of upgrade strategies for HW/SW and lifecycle plans for routers of the distribution network.
Responsible for preparation of technical feasibility studies, design proposals and execution of POCs for the distribution network
Responsible to define technical parameters and KPI’s for monitoring of the distribution network together with the SOC team.
Participate on solving and eliminating of ops issues – perform 2nd and 3rd level support (rotating on-call duty required)
Responsible for preparation of the techn. Documentation related to the distribution network: HLD and LLD
Preparation of vendor specific configuration templates
