Data Integration Engineer - Industrial Internet of Things

Location: Southampton, UK
Salary: £30,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and seniority level

Our client is an exciting and rapidly expanding IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) start up in the field of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. They are developing a cutting-edge cloud product to provide scalable prognostics and advanced condition monitoring to the manufacturing sector. They have already have a broad team of specialists in their field but now following successful investment funding and strong traction from large multi-national clients, they are looking to expand the engineering team further.

They are seeking a data integration engineer to support the on-boarding of new client data into the system. You should be comfortable in handling a diverse range of data and be looking for a challenge that leverages the Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0. You will be joining our client on their journey developing a best in class product and solution.

If you are looking to take the next step in a company that continues to grow and expand then this is an exciting opportunity for someone who already has experience in Data Integration working with a cloud-based product. The roles come with a competitive basic salary and excellent benefits.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years experience building data integration processes
The ability to coordinate with customers. helping them integrate with their client's system to achieve the full benefits.
Knowledge with the building blocks of scalable cloud systems: Linux, containers and service-oriented architecture
Minimum 2 years experience building complex applications with modern best practices (e.g. test-driven development, continuous deployment, code reviews)
Knowledge of software engineering principles: object-oriented design, distributed computing and software design patterns
The ability to learn fast, multi-tasking due to overlap in technical skillsets.
Experience working as part of a small team on a rapidly growing application and codebase
Extensive knowledge and experience in ETL Processes

Their Stack:

ETL processes currently Node. Backend is Golang
Mongo, Redis, Neo4j and InfluxDB data storage
Microservice architecture
AWS
Docker ECS orchestration
