The ideal person will be willing to throw themselves into situations where discretion and diplomacy are just as important as system knowledge in resolving problems and have an open-mind to new technologies which will add value to the IT department operationally.

Work location is London, UK. This role will report directly to VP IT EMEA.

The Requirements:

• Primary focus is on managing Data Centre systems
• Lead data centre system standardization across EMEA portfolio in existing and new sites using global standards.
• Lead M&A system standardization and integration.
• Take part in the assessment of legacy IT technologies within data centres and understanding of their functionality and interrelationship. In scope are all IT systems, from network and infrastructure to BMS and DCIM systems.
• Manage change - work with stakeholders within EMEA business functions to adopt global standards in accordance to the design principles.
• Work with the IT global functional teams to align delivery plans cross-functionally, contribute to domain specific technical roadmaps and global IT policies and standards.
• Provide technical leadership in projects and programs.
• Develop cross-functional technical architecture working closely with global IT functional teams.

Keys to Success:

Skills
• Global mindset and working attitude; experience in working within tightly aligned, loosely coupled organizations.
• Experience in working in international and multicultural environments across EMEA and US.
• Significant experience delivering enterprise level infrastructure frameworks, roadmaps and communicating these to all levels of the organization. Typically, the candidate will also have expert level general infrastructure architecture and design experience.
• Architectural understanding of all elements of a Global Enterprise's IT including: Data Centre infrastructure management, WAN and Remote Sites; End Computing (desktop and Mobility); Voice, Video and Collaboration Solutions; Remote Access, Identity Management and Directory Solutions; Application Development and related infrastructure (Databases, Web Servers, Application Servers); Systems Management and Security. Also, a good understanding of mainstream technology vendor solutions for the areas above.
