Experienced IT Service Manager – Design & Transition Management - Financial Services/ ITIL

We are looking for an experienced IT Service Manager with experience in Service Design and Transition Management to join an evolving Service Management Team. The successful candidate will own the Service Design and Transition management function carrying a significant responsibility for process execution as well as the delivery of strategic objectives and contribute to its ongoing development.
The ideal person will need to be a well rounded service manager that is a strong team player with a positive outlook that can adapt well to changes and is results driven. The ability to think beyond the obvious is desirable as we need to be inventive with our approach in a changing environment.

The desired candidate should be experienced in Service Management with practical experience in day to day Service Design and Transition activities across multiple functional teams internally and externally. The ability to negotiate, foster, and build strong working relationships from operational to exec level is essential for ongoing success and evolution of this function. The ability to communicate well and present to teams and management is also essential.

• Experience of working in a well regulated business is essential
• A strong understanding of Service Design and Transition activities
• ITIL v3 Qualification in Service Design and or Transition is desirable
• Experience of working in or the implementation of ITIL v3 practices is highly desirable or other formal ITSM frameworks.
• Experience of working with Agile / dev ops delivery methodology is desirable
• An appreciation of varying technologies and current market trends in technology is advantageous as this role as it will interact with varying teams from hosted/ cloud Infrastructure to front end consumer applications, and ecommerce platforms.
• Experiences of working with outsource/ strategic partners are essential.


This role will be based in Reigate and may require travel from time to time to other offices.
