Sales & Business Development Manager - GERMANY


1. Job Purpose

? The Service Advantage Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and prospecting for potential new clients for a new line of services in country that do not compete with or overlap with core my clients services
? Leveraging existing engineering, technical and professional services resources,my client are offering new and innovative technology services to both existing and extensive client base and also reaching out to selected new logo clients.

? The Sales Manager role is responsible to engage commercial leaders and C-Level executives to identify and generate value propositions and sales opportunities and thereby establish market shares and maximise revenue for the business unit
? The Sales Manager is responsible for executing strategies that deliver sales growth and business development in adjacent service markets to grow overall sales revenue and market share
? The job incumbent will execute approved strategies which will focus on market, segment and account selection by industry verticals and defines long-term organisational strategic goals, builds key customer and strategic partnership relationships, identifies profitable business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and cultivates and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions

2. Key Responsibilities

? The primary role of the Sales Manager is to prospect for new customers by networking, cold calling, or any other means of generating interest from potential customers.
? The job incumbent must plan persuasive strategic approaches and pitches that will convince potential qualified customers to engage with and ultimately do business with my client.
? He/she must develop a rapport and build and develop relationships with new customers, and create sales plans to turn prospects into customers.
? He/she is also required to offer new Services to selected and qualified existing accounts to extend the my clients wallet share within those clients
? Strategic planning is a key part of the job role for the Sales Manager responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business in the Service business coming into the company.
? Engage with, leverage and work with appropriate and relevant existing company Services and Sales teams and sales organisation.
? Work and collaborate closely with European Service organisation

Key Challenges

? New Business Development

? Generate new business services contracts that create incremental revenue and profits
? Develops a comprehensive understanding of the clients products and services; its competencies and capabilities and how the Service business compliments the core business.
? Leads the development of valid, client-perspective value propositions
? Establishes target lists of prospects and identifies key decision makers at target companies and arranges meetings to present company capabilities and collaborate on potential opportunities
? Prospect for potential new customers for Service Advantage and turn this into increased business.
? Cold call as appropriate within agreed Service markets to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
? Set up meetings between customer decision makers and clients business leaders.
? Plan strategic approaches, sales campaigns, approaches and pitches.



? Participate in pricing the solution/service.
? Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
? Client Retention
? Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
? Work with RE Annuity & Service organisation and other internal divisions to meet customer needs.
? Arrange and participate in internal and external customers debriefs.
? Business Development Planning
? Attend industry functions, such as Networking, association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
? Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
? Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales within the Service business.
? Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify, develop and communicate my clients unique selling propositions and differentiators.
? Management and Research

? Effectively manages Sales plans and financial results, recommend pricing strategies that maximize profitability
? Building cohesive team support internally, to improve process efficiency, accuracy and lowest cost
? Creates commitment / completion plans and creates monthly reports illustrating accomplishments, challenges, opportunities
? Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the organisation.
? Understands competitive dynamics and defines strategies to manage competitive situations
