Sales Executive – New Business

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To generate new business sales and positively impact the sales targets of the company

Responsible to: Sales Director

BASE LOCATION:
Hertfordshire

MAIN TASKS OF JOB:
• To generate new business sales by seeking every opportunity to sell specialist portfolio of IT asset management services.

Main tasks include:
o To win profitable new business orders in new named Clients;
o To prospect using all common sales methods (e.g. cold calling, campaign follow-up, account profiling, meeting, events, networking etc.);
o To develop and conduct sales campaigns, promote clients offer and capability to potential clients;
o To bring existing contacts and relationships to accelerate pipeline build up;
o To familiarise and become fluent with the clients vision and key offering;
o To conform to Bid Sign Off process and sales pipeline requirements;
o To write professional and compelling proposals;
o To present to prospects/clients using MS PowerPoint;
o To negotiate contracts (within agreed guidelines/approval processes), in writing, by telephone or face to face meetings;
o To close sales.

• To help grow the business by achieving quarterly and yearly targets and working towards the overall sales targets of the company.
o To achieve £1M of GM (invoiced solution sales {services and/or S/W});
o To maintain accurate reporting of recorded activity, pipeline and closed sales via ACT;
o To attend regular sales meetings;
o To ensure that all orders sold are booked and invoiced correctly.

KEY SKILLS:

Mandatory:
• Experience in consultancy led &/or consultative selling (min 3 years) and…
• Experience in solution selling (min 3 years) and…
• Ability to negotiate, network & build relationships at Board level and…
• Sound IT sector commercial awareness (& some technical knowledge).

Preferred:
• Knowledge of structure, drivers and competitive landscape for IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management / IT Service Management or…
• Experience in asset management software tools selling or…
• Experience in managed services selling or…
• Ability to work with external partners

SALARY / REMUNERATION:

• £135K OTE (£55K Base)
