Position: Assistant Merchandiser
Reporting to: Merchandiser

Job Purpose:
To support the Merchandiser to ensure the Merchandising processes run smoothly and effectively to enable the business to fulfil increased sales


Planning support

• To produce seasonal, weekly and ad hoc reports as required, by store, by product category.
• To fully validate all financial information and make recommendations as required.
• To ensure our critical path planning is accurate and well organised to ensure all requirements are achieved on time

Merchandising and operations

• Updating Category Wssis to review sales figures and stocks levels on a regular basis and advising Merchandiser of appropriate actions.
• Managing OTB for their Categories by using the Wssi and trading styles
• To follow through all agreed actions in a timely and accurate manner to optimise stock availability by market.
• Analysis of category sales performance on weekly/monthly/seasonal basis and flagging areas of potential by market.
• Liaising with warehouse and business partners to ensure an effective throughput of stock.
• To be fully up to date on delivery schedules by category and impact on stock build.
• Overseeing weekly deliveries in line with business and store requirements
• Markdowns are actioned in a timely manner and are communicated to stores and partner.
• Allocating stock and liaising with the DC to ensure stock has arrived and has been processed in due time.
• Administrative support to Merchandisers

Communication

• To work closely with the Global branch merchandising team, Wholesale and Ecommerce Teams to ensure all repeats, new add in lines and deliveries are shared
• Liaising with Suppliers about deliveries and negotiating repeat prices



Order Processing

• Maintaining and processing orders, responding to all product related call outs in an efficient and timely manner.


Commercial Awareness / Store Visits / Competition

• Carry out store visits as required to ensure comprehensive market knowledge
• To be aware of Phase Eight’s best sellers for all markets, ensuring relevant lessons learnt can be applied to the business.
• To develop a good understanding of both the Phase Eight brand in the UK and the Phase Eight performance variance by Country.
