My client are undergoing a massive Real-Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) Programme Transformation in order to reflect changes in the needs of households and companies, changes in technology and regulatory landscapes.
The Bank’s mission is to consider how RTGS needs to evolve to meet and shape payment trends. Despite having a mature RTGS infrastructure and its excellent operational record it needs to be modernised and developed to meet today’s needs and withstand the coming decades.

Release Lead
The Release Management Lead will be accountable for delivery across all technology workstreams and report to as well as act as deputy for the Technology Delivery Director. You will manage a team of 6 subject matter experts therefore, you must have proven leadership skills to mobilise and motivate teams.
The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new technology domains and Technology delivery partner. Be able to manage technology delivery governance and assurance, working closely with technical assurance lead/function.
The Release Lead should proactively anticipate issues, scope changes, potential implementation risks, and oversees development and testing of comprehensive contingency plans.
My client is seeking for a Release Lead who is dynamic, smart, engaging and a catalyst in making things happen, has the battle scars and can join the dots between different projects and areas of the Bank.
Essential:
• End to end technology transformation experience working with large scale vendor and delivery teams of 50 , multi-year duration and with annual budgets greater than £30m.
• Proven experience of full software delivery lifecycle management of IT Programmes and associated change management and organisational transition impacting culture, structure, people, process and technology
• Willing and able to challenge appropriately and understand needs of key stakeholders; can deliver difficult messages while maintain good working relations
• Associated MSP, PMP, and PCM certifications from PMI/APM certifying bodies.
• Extensive experience and track record for technology delivery experience (10 years ) within payments/financial services or highly regulated technical industry

Release Programme Manager
The Release Programme Manager will be a part of a team of Subject Matter Experts reporting into the Release Management Lead. The team’s work is pivotal in the success of delivering this high profile programme at the heart of the UK payments transformation.

Accountabilities
• Overall leadership for day to day operation of all aspects of the complex transition programme and multiple project streams concurrently, from initiation through to closure
• Leads and coordinates efforts of project teams/members and third-party suppliers in order to deliver the release according to plan
• Proactively intervening to provide effective governance and delivery of the release to quality, schedule and budget objectives and ensures deployed solutions deliver targeted business benefit/value
• Proactively manages changes to the release scope, identifies potential implementation risks, and develops and tests contingency plans
• Promoting and delivering change and innovation.
Essential
• Extensive prior experience and track record in Programme Management
• Proven experience of full software delivery lifecycle management of IT Programmes and associated change management and organisational transition impacting culture, structure, people, process and technology
• Demonstrable e2e technology transformation experience business case definition, benefits realisation post change, service transition phase to early life support, multiple executive stakeholders, executive and operational steering committees, and programmes utilising teams of 25 , of multi-year duration and with budgets greater than £10m
• Excellent influencing and leadership skills with extensive experience of presenting major technology change programmes at all levels of an organisation and commanding credibility at senior management level
• Experience of operating effectively under the governance of a centralised PMO structure

For both Release opportunities it would be an added bonus if you had a Computer Science/Engineering degree/qualification, ITIL, exposure to cloud technologies or solid technology change management background.
