My client is a leading UK Cyber Security and Defence Consultancy. They are looking for a talented Cyber SOC Architect with excellent technical and client-facing skills, to manage technical deliveries of their Cyber Security solutions.

This role will working with government and critical national infrastructure clients around the world, providing solutions to protect and enhance the connected world.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for implementing technical solutions with top-tier Government clients.
You will engage with the customer to understand their requirements and design CyberReveal solutions to meet their needs. On client-site, you will install, configure and integrate the solution with client systems (building client-specific extensions as required), before testing to assure the quality of the deliverable and handing-over to the customer.
You will help build our delivery capability by documenting the delivery process, feeding back lessons learned and establishing best practices and repeatable processes. Requirements that you have captured will be continually fed back to product management teams to steer the product roadmap.

You will work with sales executives, technical project managers, engineers, solution architects, as well as the end-customer. Given the international client delivery focus of this role, flexibility is essential to ensure timely delivery to the customer’s satisfaction. You will travel internationally to work on-site across our global client-base.
You will develop an in-depth technical understanding of our Cyber Security product suite, and will build excellent relationships with our customers, such that they see you as the SME and their primary point-of-contact for technical matters.

Skills

Essential:

Excellent verbal and written communication and client-facing skills.
Experience with deployment of J2EE applications.
Time management and organisational skills to independently manage multiple delivery projects concurrently.
Detail-oriented approach.
Linux System/Network administration.
Cent OS/Red Hat or Ubuntu.
Apache Hadoop (or other Big Data platforms) and the wider Hadoop ecosystem including: Accumulo, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, Hive and Zookeeper.

Desirable:

Java development (or software development in general).
Infrastructure administration (server hardware and networking installation/configuration).
Cyber Security domain experience.
Awareness of Cyber Security Monitoring product landscape.
ElasticSearch.
Java Application Servers (preferably JBoss or Apache Tomcat).
Web Servers (preferably Apache HTTPD).
Database Servers (preferably PostgreSQL).
SQL.
Shell scripting.
VMware (or other virtualisation platforms).
Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio).
