GDPR Business Analyst - Data Subject Rights

Role Overview:
We are looking for a strong candidate to be a Business Analyst for our GDPR Data Subject Rights Project. The role would entail defining technical requirements alongside the review of our existing processes and procedures. IT is important the candidate is able to interpret legislation/regulations into clear requirements.
The role requires that the ideal candidate be detail oriented, able to work alongside ambiguity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and have excellent analytical skills. Stakeholder management and the ability to work in a complex and matrixed organisation are also desired.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will involve managing the defining of requirements and scope for the GDPR Data Subject Rights Project. It will require involvement with IT to develop a technical solution and to work with a wide business stakeholder group and senior project stakeholders to help shape the approach and deliver the solution to the business.

The successful applicant will be required to:
• Be proactive and work with little direction. Must be a self-starter.
• Work alongside the team to support best practices
• Work with various business stakeholders in a complex business landscape
• Apply efficient and creative ways of driving out content in workshops and meetings (ability to lead workshops is a must)
• Interpret complex process and legal requirements into plain business language.
• Prepare Level 4 requirements for IT to action
• Maintain overall responsibility for the data subject rights requirements and scope.
• Maintain compliance with incoming regulatory information to ensure that data privacy requirements are complied with (as more details are drip fed from the ICO)
• Set up and manage on-going process by which we manage change e.g. change control process for scope and requirements in a fast and dynamic environment
• Manage weekly reporting to enable continuous improvement to new and existing design
• Ensure that work is delivered on time and to specifications

Required Skills:
The ideal applicant would have the following skills and experience:
• 5 years’ experience as a business analyst
• Excellent stakeholder management experience
• Data Privacy knowledge, or some regulatory experience
• Strong attention to detail with a diligent and conscientious nature
• Ability to take existing procedures and processes and improve them
• Highly organised and able to translate ideas into cohesive strategies and plans
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under pressure
• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Team player

Desirable:
• A good level of understanding of what GDPR is
• Experience in Regulatory change projects and programmes
