GDPR Business Analyst - Data Discover/ Inventory

Role Overview:
We are looking for a strong candidate to be a Business Analyst for our Data discovery/ inventory workstream. The role would entail defining how data is collected and processed, gaining stakeholder buy-in and providing analytical support for the GDPR team to deliver against its targets and timeframes.
The role requires that the ideal candidate be detail oriented, able to work alongside ambiguity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and have excellent analytical skills. Stakeholder management and the ability to work in a complex and matrixed organisation are also desired.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will involve defining personal data collection and processing throughout our business. It will require heavy involvement with IT and Senior Stakeholders in order to help the business shape the holistic view of how we manage Personal Data.

The successful applicant will be required to:
• Work alongside the team to support best practices
• Work with various business stakeholders in a complex business landscape
• Apply efficient and creative ways of driving out content in workshops and meetings
• Manipulate complex data into actionable information for customer consent
• Maintain overall responsibility for the data register
• Maintain compliance with incoming regulatory information to ensure that data privacy requirements are complied with (as more details are drip fed from the ICO)
• Set up and manage on-going process by which we manage change e.g. change control process for scope and requirements in a fast and dynamic environment
• Manage weekly reporting to enable continuous improvement to new and existing design
• Ensure that work is delivered on time and to specifications

Required Skills:
The ideal applicant would have the following skills and experience:
• 5 years experience as a business analyst
• Excellent stakeholder management experience
• Data Privacy knowledge, or regulatory or marketing experience
• Strong attention to detail with a diligent and conscientious nature
• Ability to take existing procedures and processes and improve them
• Highly organised and able to translate ideas into cohesive strategies and plans
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under pressure
• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
• Excellent time-management skills

Desirable:
• Previous experience in data regulations
• A good level of understanding of what GDPR is
• Experience with Data Management
