DATA SCIENCE

About the role

We have ambitious plans and are looking for individuals who can develop and build our go-to-market propositions and excel in client delivery. The team advises leading FTSE 100 & 350 clients on a wide range of issues. Recent examples include:

• Delivering advanced customer segmentation and targeting models based on machine learning techniques to a global fashion retailer.
• Developing a proprietary supply chain analytics product to identify lost revenue and opportunities to improve product planning.
• Using risk analytics to demonstrate the impact of climate change on the supply chain of a leading UK supermarket.

We develop these solutions using analytical and machine learning techniques and therefore a strong technical background is essential. We engage with stakeholders from a diverse background and as such, the ability to clearly articulate the results of our analysis is a key requirement. On a day-to-day basis, you will manage and deliver a wide range of concurrent analytical assignments, interacting with clients and manage the quality of delivery.

• Strong time management, client handling and development skills, including inter-personal sensitivity and influencing skills.
• Strong oral, listening and written communication skills
• Be flexible and have the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Be strongly committed to both personal and corporate success.
• Be self-motivated, in particular taking responsibility for personal development in technical and broader consulting skills

Your experience

• Have experience of developing and deploying analytical solutions that have delivered tangible results for multiple functions across the retail value chain
• Have used analytical tools in a Big Data environment and handled a wide array of data types including unstructured data and web browsing data
• Preferably spent most of your career to date in the customer and retail analytics market, either within a company or a consultancy with experience across both bricks and mortar and online retailing.
