Required Skills and Experience:
• Ability to quickly analyse and understand our client’s business processes, ethos and ultimately the solutions that we need to deliver.
• Experienced consultants with a background in Business Intelligence Delivery, Environment Management, and Analytic Resourcing.
• Ideally with business domain knowledge – increasingly important at senior grades
• Knowledge of following data domains;
o Customer analytics
o Collections & recoveries
o Finance
o Regulatory & Statutory reporting
o Fraud
• Experience working with a variety of clients.
• Ability to quickly gain the trust and confidence of peers.
• Experience of working with Base SAS / Enterprise Guide / DI studio within primarily the Financial Services industry.
• Understanding of project working and the talent to deliver within client timelines.
• Appreciation of other key market Business Intelligence tools and their application.
• Senior applicants should have a proven record of managing the delivery process with a variety of clients and nurturing team members in their development.
• Technical experience and certifications in one or more of SAS, Qlik, Teradata, Informatica, Oracle, SAP, Tableau, SQL, R, Python, Cognos BI or others (list not exhaustive) is desirable
• Must have experience of some of the following; SAS Version 9.3 , Proficient SAS Developer , Macro development ,Stored process development ,SQL development , Base Certified in SAS Version 9 , SAS DI / OLAP / Management Console ,Web Report Studio , Unix experience
• Experience in two of the above >3 years
• Development of thought leadership
• Consulting experience desirable not essential – must demonstrate delivery record
• Appreciation of the need to support bids / proposals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the importance of managing risk and quality on data projects
• Strong undergraduate degree required in applicable related field; second degree desirable
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Senior Consultant and above will line manage junior consultants.
• Participate in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies.
• Lead and input into discussions on technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
• Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Fully competent to work under general direction on the most complex projects, often on multiple phases, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior associates or manager, as needed
• Often responsible for the completion of a phase of a project.
• Have a working knowledge of business or function for which application is designed
• Have an awareness of company technical policies and application Governance requirements and liaise with team leads and application owners on their interpretation and implementation.
• Lead and participate in discussions around the strategic technical direction and system architecture for initiatives.
• Must be able to travel throughout UK to client sites.
