Modelling Manager | Decision Science Manager | Credit Risk Manager | up to £70,000 package | London

We are working with an established challenger in the financial services arena, which are recruiting a first class credit risk team in London. The organisation are putting customers at the heart of what they do, with customer facing roles and relationship management being a core business strategy. They provide a breadth of products, incorporating both consumer and business financial services offerings.

We are looking to hire a Modelling Manager to join their expanding team, focusing on the retail product portfolio and encompassing a broad remit of modelling responsibilities that will includes IRB, IFRS9 and scorecard development.

Ideally the Modelling Manager will have the following skills:
• Educated to University level in a statistical subject (or evidenced equivalent work experience)
• Extensive experience within a regulated financial services organization, ideally having spent at least the last 5 years in risk management or modelling.
• Knowledge of retail banking products.
• The individual will have a core background in modelling.
• Commercial experience in SAS in order to perform statistical analysis and mentor junior analysts
• Have previous experience of people or Project management within a growth business or have the ability to show potential for a position of this nature. (Lead Analyst mentoring / Model build project ownership considered)

This will be a fantastic opportunity to support the broader business by providing technical expertise as a modelling manager with responsibility for development and validation of a range of credit risk models including forecasting and models.

The role of the Modelling Manager will include the following responsibilities:
• Responsible for enhancing the company’s decision making framework through statistical models
• Developing forecasting and stress testing models
• Enhance relationships with internal and external partners

While people management experience would be ideal, we are happy to speak to people that have previous project management experience of model builds and have mentored junior members of the team in SAS or statistical analysis.
