Accounts Payable Clerk
Up to £20,000 - Northampton

InterQuest Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk for one of our most valued clients, a leading name in technology.

The Role:
• Receive and record invoices from suppliers
• Obtain receipts or other verification when accounts were paid
• Process the invoices on Oracle, matching to the purchase order when receipted and attach that information to the relative project or department for job costing and financial statement purposes
• Manually coding the invoices without a purchase order
• Match and file invoices with their matching receipts
• Make sure invoices are approved in time to meet established payment cycle
• Remit payments on invoices as directed by Accounts Payable management
• Reconciling supplier statements and requesting copy invoices if needed
• Sorting post and distributing to the accounts payable team/printing off documents on Accounts Payable inbox (part of team rota)
• Scanning invoices onto software for filing.
• Work in accordance with the payment process outlined by the Accounts Payable Team Leader

You:
Experience in accounts payable, Attention to detail, Understanding of basic bookkeeping, Knowledge of accounts payable principles, Ability to comprehend and manage financial records, Data entry skills, Talent for numerical coding, Enough understanding of accounting concepts to properly code expenses, Organisational skills, Communication skills, Proficiency with accounting software and accounts payable software.
