Network Design Engineer wanted for a large public sector client with multi-site locations, this position is OUTSIDE IR35.

The Network Design Engineer will be working closely with a number of stake holders to gather their requirements, and define the network requirements, and work with the technical team to document the design.

Experience required:
• Experienced network design experience.
• Experience in providing technical leadership on projects.
• Experience of a range of infrastructure technologies, focused on networking and data transfer/storage.
• Business analysis skills, leading the gathering and writing up of technical requirements.
• Ability to own delivery of technical products such as, but not restricted to, technical assessment and effort estimates.
• Experience in (technical) report/business requirements document writing.
• Excellent Communication skills – experience facilitating workshops to elicit business/technical requirements.
• Experience of the higher education and research domain.
• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Knowledge of and experience working with High Performance Computing.
