Responsibilities and Accountabilities Statement of main areas of responsibility

Focused on the support for the efficient and accurate delivery of a series of change programs, the duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:
Providing a quality ER change support service, following the correct business processes and project controls whilst working in partnership with HR Business Partners, Senior stakeholders, Financial Control and core ER teams.
Managing and delivering job matching, job evaluation and pay benchmarking as part of building new operating structures as part of wider change management process.
Providing direct support and guidance to Line Managers around the consultation process, increasing capability through guiding and advising on consultation and related queries, including running management training sessions.
Maintaining a consistent focus on managing and, where possible, mitigating legal risk.
Collaborating across the HR Team to provide insightful, accurate and timely briefings and status reports on ER change initiatives.
Maintaining a robust and consistent approach to using appropriate project management processes, tools and controls, including: accurate change progress monitoring, people data tracking, risks, issues and reporting to relevant stakeholders and the PMO.
Working with relevant HR Business Partners on the deployment of individual consultation plans.
Carefully managing escalation of queries to other SMEs.
Proactively contributing to the wider HR Team and business and maintaining a flexible and collaborative approach to best meet service standards.
Providing query handling and manager guidance to ensure ER strategy, legislation and business practice compliance are met.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience The tools needed to do the role




Essential

Desirable Everyone in our HR Team has a proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines. If you join us as an HR Consultant for Change Projects we would want you to have:
Prior experience delivering a complex HR support service within a changing environment, ideally from a similar HR Change/Employee Relations role.
Proven experience supporting change management and delivery to change initiatives.
Demonstrable experience in ER and associated procedures.
Experience working with HR Business Partners and providing guidance to Line Managers.
Experienced in job evaluation, matching and grading process.
Excellent organisational skills and a good understanding of best practice project management methods ideally through experience of working on people change plans.
Strong MS Excel capabilities ideally with the ability to utilise formulas and pivot tables.
Comprehensive knowledge of employment law principles associated with change and consultation highly desirable but not essential.
