The Senior Manager will manage the New Product Development / EPD project portfolio and escalate issues that impact on the project cost, time and development parameters. Champion the project delivery process and refine as necessary to ensure actions are completed to meet the key deliverables.

The role will set direction and priorities for the Project Management team and provide guidance and support.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Portfolio Delivery

Ensure delivery of Molton Brown NPD/EPD Project Portfolio to launch on time, without air-freight, within cost and meets brief through allocating projects, setting direction and priorities, monitoring project progress with the PM team and working closely with cross functional team leaders to resolve issues.
Project Delivery Process

Ensure adherence to Molton Brown NPD stage and gate delivery process, through education of stakeholders on the process and identifying and implementing refinements to actions to ensure key deliverables are achieved in the most effective way for the business.
Portfolio Management

Ensure concepts are agreed in time to allow for the two year project delivery process.
Present off-plan project requests and potential cancelled/postponed projects to the business.

Ensure that risks, issues and changes to project scope are escalated through the correct channels to gain business support, feedback and approval in a timely manner.
Manage Projects

Lead cross functional project teams through each phase of the project to lead and influence to ensure all activities are completed and project remains on track in terms of cost, time and development.
Manage Project Management Team

Provide support and guidance, identify development needs, undertake performance reviews and approve absences, travel and expenses.
Prince 2 qualification or similar
Educated to degree level
1 - 2 years experience of leading a project management team ideally within a retail orientated organisation
5 years experience of managing New Product Develpment projects
Experience within the beauty industry would be beneficial
Good knowledge of MS applications, especially MS project
Manage a team with direct reports and indirect reports
Adaptable, ability to deal with uncertainty and work in a fast paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comforable talking to all levels of the business
Highly motivated, confident, enthusiastic and persuasive personality
Able to lead through setting direction and priorities
Creative problem solver with a high level of logical thought
Ability to see the big picture to make suggestions to improve efficiencies
