Technical Support Engineer - Permanent - IP Networking / IP Telephony / SIP / Linux

My client is a leading Unified Communications solutions solutions provider based in Cwmbran, who are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team to handle support issues with their external customers.

On a daily basis, you'll be in charge of:
- Handling support issues raised via email, phone and ticketing system
- Provide overflow for IT support
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving faults
- Raise issues with vendors when required
- Addressing technical problems through to resolution
- Ensuing all issues are logged and triaged accordingly

They are looking for people with experience in the following:
- Working in an IP telephony, Internet or other IT technology enviroment
- Linux experience
- Knowledge of portfolio products would be an advantage (Broadworks, Oracle, Sonus & Audiocodes)
- Knowledge of IP networking and IP telephony
- Excellent fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of relevant protocols such as TCP/IP and SIP
