It’s not an easy challenge to solve.
Something has to change if we want to see a more diverse range of people thriving in senior roles in business.
There is a danger that the wrong approach to fixing the problem could end up encouraging the very same behaviours we have been trying to eliminate.
One of the things we can look to address is the concept of unconscious bias. When you ask most people if they have an unconscious bias their first reaction is say… no, not me.
